A PROTEIN BOMB:
Portobello Sandwich!
Increasing our protein intake is extremely important every time we are working on our weight because it increases the metabolism hence helping fat burn more efficiently. Besides giving us the nutrients and energy, we need to function around the clock.
This time we are going to prepare a Portobello Sandwich which is packed with different kinds of protein. It is delicious, tasty, light and filling at the same time.
INGREDIENTS
2 Portobello Mushrooms
1 slice Turkey Ham
3 slices Panela Cheese
1 slice Tomato
2 slices Avocado
Cucumber
Olives
Pickles
Sour Cream
Dijon Mustard
We are going to use the mushroom caps instead of bread. Wash and remove the black hairy part of the two mushrooms.
Salt and pepper. “Toast” them in a nonstick pan, together with the ham and cheese.
Add some cream to one of the caps and Dijon mustard to the other, and make a sandwich with the broiled ham and cheese, tomato, cucumbers and avocado slices. Serve with some extra avocado, cucumbers, pickles, olives, and whatever else you wish on the side.
Voila! Ready!
