Artichoke Tea

Artichoke Tea

CLEANSES YOUR LIVER AND HELPS ELIMINATING FAT

For your morning tea, Artichoke is a great option.

First of all, it has a lot of nutrients. As a matter of fact, it is recommended for people who have been very ill and need to recover their strength. Drinking artichoke tea, besides bringing your strength back cleanses your liver and eliminates fat from your body. This last one is precisely what we desire our body to do to lose those extra pounds we don’t want.

It also has a diuretic effect, eliminating water, toxins and fat, a very helpful process to reduce measures.

And, rich in fibre, folic acid and antioxidants it is!

How do we prepare artichoke tea?

We need:
2 artichokes
3 cups of water

Boil the artichokes in the water for 10 minutes. Drink the resulting infusion warm or hot with no sugar or any other sweetener, remember we are getting used to enjoying the wonderful natural flavours of food and beverages.

Artichokes are gourmet and delicious! So, do not throw the artichokes you just boil away. Eat them! How?

We will need:
Water
Salt
Sea salt
Olive oil
Lemon juice
Lemon zest
Lemons

Pour more water into the artichokes recipient (to cover) and add some salt, just a little bit, and boil again until the leaves are soft.
Mix olive oil, lemon zest and lemon juice in a small bowl. Take the artichokes out of the water, cut them in half, add some of the olive oil and lemon mixture with a cooking brush, and sprinkle some sea salt. Broil them on the grill until they are a little crispy and have a nice gold colour. Brush them with the olive oil mixture as often as necessary during the broiling process.
Serve them as hot as possible with half a lemon, and a small bowl of the olive oil and lemon mixture on the side.

I didn’t add quantities to the ingredients list because this recipe is made according to your own palate preferences.

Enjoy!!!

Pamper yourselves every day!!!
